How to Calculate Your KAS Prelims Score
The KAS Prelims exam consists of two papers, each carrying 100 marks, totaling 200 marks. Each question is multiple-choice (MCQ) based, with four options. To calculate your score:
- Award 1 mark for each correct answer.
- Deduct 0.33 marks for each incorrect answer (negative marking).
- Sum the marks for correct answers and subtract the penalty for incorrect ones.
The minimum qualifying marks for the prelims are 60 out of 200 for all categories. However, the prelims score is only qualifying and does not contribute to the final merit list, which is based on the Mains exam and interview.
Raising Objections to the Provisional Answer Key
The provisional answer key is open for objections. Candidates who find discrepancies or errors in the answer key can submit their complaints within five days from the date of publication, as per KPSC guidelines. To raise objections:
- Log in to your Kerala PSC Thulasi profile.
- Navigate to the “Answer Key Complaints” section.
- Submit your objection with valid proof and details of the questioned answer.
- Pay the required fee, if applicable, as per the notification.
Objections will be reviewed by experts, and a final answer key will be published after considering valid complaints. No objections will be entertained after the final answer key is released.
